Interdisciplinary design competition for artist collectives with architectural expertise and arts-related architecture collectives
Awarding body: Tinne Foundation for Art, Culture and Education, South Tyrol
In order to implement the TINNE young museum klausen project, in 2022 the Tinne Foundation for Art, Culture and Education, South Tyrol is organising an interdisciplinary design competition for artist collectives with architectural expertise and arts-related architecture collectives. It will be a one-stage competition with a pre-selection shortlist. The winning collective will be awarded a contract to draw up the design for the TINNE young museum in the Kapuzinergarten (Capuchin Garden) in Klausen, including redesigning the cultural area there.
Picking up on Klausen’s history as an artists’ colony, including the groupings of like-minded artists with stylistic affinities typical of that era, the competition is looking for an interdisciplinary design approach. The competition seeks entries from collectives at the interface of architecture, art and design that can draw on their artistic and design practice to date in bringing to the project their experience and skills in the fields of architecture, art, urban development, sociology, participation, ecology and landscape planning.
