From the jury minutes: This project combines the austerity of a monastery on the one hand and the wildness of the Tinne on the other. The building floats like a precision designed, multiple cloister over the garden, which is re­wilded with boulders, tree trunks and a stream. Visitors proceed through the architecture as if on a woodland trail. In doing so they discover various natural scenes in landscape paintings or in the real surrounding landscape and thus establish a link to the history of Klausen as an artists’ colony.
